Institutional vs. Independent Instructors

All SafeWrap instructors fall into one of two categories: Institutional Instructors and Independent Instructors. While it is possible to transition between classifications over time, applicants must select the category that best aligns with their initial goals at the time of application.

  • Institutional Instructor: If you are participating in the SafeWrap Online ICP on behalf of an organization you are employed by, with the intent of training other members within the organization, you should apply as an Institutional Instructor.
  • Independent Instructor: If you are participating in the SafeWrap Online ICP as an individual seeking to market and teach SafeWrap to a variety of organizations, you should apply as an Independent Instructor. Learn More

Why does this matter?

Besides minor differences in the application itself, it really boils down to licensing pathways upon successful completion of the SafeWrap Online ICP. Independent Instructors will be provided a personal license authorizing them to teach the SafeWrap system to third-party organizations, whereas Institutional Instructors will need to obtain an institutional license permitting the instruction of SafeWrap exclusively to other members of their organization.

If at some point an Institutional Instructor would like to offer SafeWrap training to outside organizations, they would need to obtain a personal license authorizing such instruction.

Please select the application type that best aligns with your initial goals. Choose carefully, as your selection cannot be changed without contacting customer support.
