Q. Great lesson. I always idolized black belts and realized that just because they are a black-belt doesn't necessarily mean they are a good person. Moreover, the comment you made about a school not respecting your safety really resonated with me. How can we encourage a school culture that encourages its students to speak up? It sounds easy in theory but would they have to build up a higher belt helping lower belt hierachy like you said at the beginning of the video? Would that be the only method?

A. You create the environment with your personal example and active support/reinforcement of the open exchanges between all members of the school.

Q. Question? Hard talks, my initial response would be to immediately call the offender into the office with the accuser. And mediate the situation immediately. With exception to claims of actual assault which would result in the filing of a criminal report. Am I wrong?

A. Going direct is usually the best solution, but every situation is different and sometimes the circumstances will require a different approach.
