Q. Wow, I am only 6:25 into this video and essentially having a Research Degree myself from University days, I realize that a flow, a roll, a spar, is a research experiment in action, filled with if/then (hypotheses) statements/actions directed by knowledge, feel, and partner behavior. Each touch, feel, and sensor (hand, foot, leg, etc...) helps one to make decisions and move and flow down a given path. If a response from a if/then thought to action fails, and cancels out a pathway of flow, you go for another move or shuffle the deck and flow in a different path...direction, and this all continues until one exhausts, or there is a stalemate, or a submission occurs. Its all one long experiment from start to finish, and the more Jiu-jitsu knowledge one has relative to partner behavior the more one can use GJJ principles and techniques to flow like water toward the end of the roll...(All the better for applying knowledge and action within the overall experiment/roll). Sound correct?
