If jiu-jitsu is the language, then connection is the alphabet. There are at least 32 connections that we seek to optimize in jiu-jitsu. Once you master them, there is no limit to what you can accomplish. The purpose of any connection, or combination of connections, typically falls into one of three categories: movement prevention, movement promotion, or movement prediction. Each connection is actualized via push or pull, and in some cases, simultaneous pushing and pulling. When a connection is facilitated by gravity, we call it pressure.
