SafeWrap is a proprietary system of 2-on-1 restraint that is designed to maximize physical control while reducing the risk of injury to all parties involved in a use-of-force encounter.
The system was originally created by Gracie University in response to inquiries from healthcare institutions that needed a way to safely manage mental health crisis. With patient safety as the top priority, it was imperative that the system utilize no joint locks, no choke holds, and no strikes. SafeWrap prioritizes free breathing and minimizes panic, making it one of the most humane and effective restraint solutions ever created.
Due to the success of its application in healthcare settings, it quickly became apparent that SafeWrap had the potential to improve safe conflict resolution and reduce liability across both public and private sector organizations. Equally importantly, the system helped to improve the public's confidence in the frontline personnel of these organizations.
SafeWrap is patent pending worldwide and requires a license for use, which can only be obtained upon completion of the SafeWrap Instructor Certification Program.
